Chitralahari Movie Review

Sai Dharam Tej has pinned all his hopes on this latest release “Chitralahari,” which Has been going through the worst phase. Although there are not many expectations on this film, attention has been drawn to the music and trailers.

What is this film about

In a court, the story begins. Vijay (Sai Dharam Tej) begins to tell his story about why he landed in this court. Cut back to flash. Vijay, an educated electrical engineer, invents device and apps, but he fails to sell them to corporate firms. He’s a loser.

Lahari (Kalyani Priyadarshan) comes into life in such a situation, bringing sunshine.

Problems arise in the relationship of love and he goes to Mumbai on a project work where he is slowly attracted by Swecha (Nivetha Pethuraj), a young spirited woman. How does  Vijay ultimately become successful

About the Direction

Chitralahari is the fourth film of Kishore Tirumala and it can be said that the director settles into a formula based on the last three outings. It’s simple; he’s picking up and updating a routine template from the past decades, mostly the 90’s so far. Chitralahri is no different as it reminds us of the unemployed youth who are struggling to create a mark template.

The point to note here is that the unemployed youth is a universal issue, not limited to a  decade, but the way in which the clichés are built in the story and, in general, to get to  the point where the formula appears. The story of love is where Kishore Tirumala goes wrong. The whole track feels like an add-on or inserted into the narrative forcefully. Without the love story, one can imagine the whole film and still the basic plot, and it won’t harm the narrative. And that’s when we realize the film’s actual content is basic and less.

Strictly related to the narrative, the second half is better than the first, although the first half offers more entertainment. A powerful attempt is being made to keep the whole thingsubtle and classy.But the script’s actual dramatic nature keeps popping out from time to time. It creates a tonal incoherence that brings down the overall pleasure. Despite very  regular content, one feels the film is too dense.

Ultimately, there are moments in Chitralahari that involve no doubt. There’s good casting  and it’s nice to write whether it’s engaging or not. But something is wrong when you see hitralahari as a whole. There’s a shortage, and that’s the movie’s failure, making it an under-par outing.

Verdict

All in all, Chitralahari is an underdog’s emotional story with a few decent moments in both halves. But a section of the audience who come expecting entertainment may not like the film’s slow pace and serious tone: This will also test the film’s box office prospects. Nevertheless, the film is much better than Tej’s previous dudes and has some feel-good moments that are related to the youth. Finally, it’s easy to give the film a shot once, but just keep your expectations under control.
