    Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s age is 44 years, as he was born on 19th May, 1974, in a small town called ‘Budhana’, in the heart of Uttar Pradesh. Born into a family of landowners, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s father, Late Nawabuddin Siddiqui, was a farmer, while his mother, Mehroonisa, is a homemaker. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is the eldest of 8 siblings, with 2 younger sisters and 5 younger brothers.

It was in New Delhi that Nawazuddin Siddiqui became passionate for acting, after having watched one of the plays his friends were part of.     In 1996, Nawazuddin Siddiqui completed his acting course from NSD, New Delhi, and moved to Mumbai, in search of his Bollywood dreams.

    Nawazuddin Siddiqui made his Bollywood debut with a small role in ‘Sarfarosh’ (1999), in which he portrayed a terrorist. Later, he appeared in another small role in ‘Shool’ (1999), and ‘Jungle’ (2000), both were Ram Gopal Varma movies. His next appearance was as a pickpocket, in ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.’ (2003). Although he tried his luck at TV acting for serials, it did not work out well for Nawazuddin Siddiqui. For 3 years, between 2002 and 2005, Nawazuddin Siddiqui struggled to find work in movies, and had to conduct acting workshops for his living.

    Although Nawazuddin Siddiqui appeared in a role as a singer in a song in ‘Dev. D’ (2009) and then again in New York (2009), Nawazuddin Siddiqui finally received the acclaim he deserved for his role in ‘Peepli Live’ (2010).

    Later, Nawazuddin Siddiqui appeared in ‘Patang: The Kite’ (2012), which not only premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and the Berlin Film Festival, it was also released in North America and garnered praise from numerous critics abroad for his acting prowess.

    Nawazuddin Siddiqui did a significant role in ‘Kahaani’ (2012) and ‘Talaash’ (2012), but it was his performance in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur-2’ (2013), which earned him the most recognition and acclaim. Nawazuddin Siddiqui also appeared in ‘Miss Lovely’ (2012), where his role was again worth mentioning. Next, his other significant role was as the main villain in ‘Kick’ (2014), the Salman Khan-starrer blockbuster hit.

    The next year, Nawazuddin Siddiqui again did a hit movie with Salman Khan, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ (2015), but his lead role in ‘Manjhi – The Mountain Man’ was considered one of the most powerful acting performances in recent years. His third movie for the year was ‘Haraamkhor’ (2015).
