STORY | The film begins with three drunken revellers seeing a corpse in their house and then the narrative is interspersed with flashbacks to the fifteen days that led to the present situation. It's interesting to recap to the 15 days, but it seems a tad longer than it seems. The interval ahead is the unraveling of a mystery of murder and it manages to keep one's attention in parts. The climax, which aims to display multiple twists, is interesting but does not have the zing you expect to see in a thriller. |
ANALYSIS | After a night of drunken revelry, three rich brats find a girl's corpse in their house. Their life subsequently moves downhill as they are trapped in a situation beyond their control. Rich boys ' thrillers that end up in a soup due to the folly of a moment were seen in Sandalwood. But in the first half, Traya tries to take a different take, with a subtle message at the end, and an interesting narrative style. The film does seem to have something new, but it's a little less edgy because the filmmaker has given in to the usual tropes of commercial cinema like songs and comic tracks. Traya is a decent attempt that can be improved in multiple ways. In all, however, it can make a one-time watch for those who want to see a Kannada thriller. The making may sometimes seem like a tad jagged, but it is necessary to commend the short run time and the attempt at a newer narrative. For this film, Yathish a Telugu speaker has composed music. Music's hallmark is handicap, but Ashwin Karthik writes very smart lyrics. Ashwin Karthik's dream come true situation. The singers gave confidence to write because they added to the songs he said right emotions. Shanker, Amogha and Madan are trio in this film. Rajani is love interest of Shanker in this film. Rajani slapped for a shot five times on the face of Amogha. Rajani is Swathi a possessive girl not like her friend Shanker to move with other two friends. Nimisha and Nithu are others two female actors with Samyuktha Horanadu playing a powerful role in ‘Traya’. Samyuktha was not present for the audio launch. |
